EYE EXAMINATION LENSES
Contact lens examination
Almost everyone who has some form of visual impairment can use contact lenses to correct their vision. Regardless of the reason why you want to use contact lenses, we recommend that you, as a contact lens customer, have an examination for contact lenses every year, to see that the health of the eyes is good, that the lenses you use work to your satisfaction and are the right type for you. There are constant innovations in the contact lens market and we are experts in finding the right lenses for your needs.
If you need glasses and sometimes feel that the frames are "in the way" for you, contact lenses can be a good alternative for you to alternate with. We can help both you who are a regular lens wearer and you who have never used contact lenses before. For us, it is important that you feel safe and comfortable knowing how to insert and remove the contact lenses, as well as how to care for them in the best and easiest way.
The lens market has made so much progress recently that there are lenses for pretty much everyone's needs. There are day lenses or one-day lenses as they are also called, progressive, astigmatic, 2-week lenses, monthly lenses, night lenses and 24-hour lenses. The most important thing is that you feel that you are getting the right contact lenses for you and your needs and lifestyle.
A great many people can wear lenses regardless of their vision defect to correct their vision defect. There is no age limit for who can use lenses, but it is important that you have an eye examination for lenses once a year so that our opticians have time to detect any changes in your eyes, or if your vision defect changes. In addition to making sure that you have the right contact lenses for you, it is also important to make sure that your eyes are as healthy as possible.
At Bågar & Glas, we also adapt night lenses (Ortho-K). Night lenses are a stable lens that reshapes the cornea while you sleep and allows you to see well during the day - completely without vision aids! They can also help slow down the development of myopia and are therefore particularly suitable for younger people with myopia in the family.
