Acclaimed for its unparalleled craftsmanship and artistry, The Last Frontier returns with its sixth collection, including eyewear, jewelry, and accessories that celebrates the many cultural traditions of the American West — from jewelry-making and weaving to ceremonial dancing and horsemanship.
The Last Frontier is a limited edition eyewear collection that achieves new heights of workmanship and artistry. Designed in Los Angeles and handcrafted in Japan, the newest iteration of this elegant and powerful eyewear series is forged at the intersection of Art Deco and the American West.
Glasses are carefully created from the highest-quality plant-based acetate and feature tried and true innovations, like their unique arrow-shaped hinge system cast from sterling silver, as well as fresh takes on signature adornments, like the “Driftwood” that incorporates intricate hand-beaded temples made in collaboration with Kewa Pueblo artist Francisco Bailon.
DESCRIPTION
From the first Last Frontier titanium series, these rectangular ’90s-inspired glasses with a sleek top bar and finely-engraved eye rims feature a sculptural arrowhead temple motif complemented by temple-tips with ‘thunderbird’ cameos embellished with hand-shaped gemstone inlays.
VISION
Like an idea emerging from the void, these rarefied spectacles represent a land free of limit and full of hard-earned bounty, the mirage of big sky country as seen from Big Horn county. Sleek titanium navigators featuring a muscular top-bar and distinctive bridge with refined hairline details, spectacles boast finely engraved eye-rims with Chimayo-inspired designs, temples with a sculptural arrowhead temple motif plated in 18k Gold or Sterling Silver with turquoise inlays, and temple tips with ‘thunderbird’ medallions plated in 18k Gold or Sterling Silver featuring turquoise inlays.
